"Steve Standiford 6/1/09"

On Friday Night, Nelson Oldham brought his Redtones guitarists, Jason and Jeremy, in the shop for an awesome acoustic show. All three of these guys are powerfully skilled guitarists with impressive guitars. There's few things better in our room for me than hearing three incredible guitars being played by musicians that know what they're doing. Nelson's original songs are very cool and their three-part harmonies were sweet. The boys kept the consecutive Friday streak going in a great fashion. They were having so much fun singing and playing that they set a new, longest set record! Over three hours of live music for an appreciative and enthusiastic crowd. - stevesguitars.net

"Steve Skinner, KDNK"

"Oldham's songs range from sweet, acoustic melodies to rockabilly grooves. I wanted to jump up on my desk and
swing a bobby sox girl until I spun her into the floor! Dynamic arrangements and solid production are the foundation of this most enjoyable album."

"Skip Naft, KVNF"

"Nelson Oldam's delivers rock and roll that sounds like music that Eric Clapton never released from his Delaney and Bonnie years. Like your favorite pair of sandals, comfortable down home rock and roll with no pretensions. He mixes rootsy rock,Blues and swing for a fun ride."

MILEMARKERS
Thank you for your interest in milemarkers. Our mission is to deliver the very highest quality Americana rock to the roaring fork valley. Our skillfully crafted original songs have received praise from music promoters and musicians around the valley and beyond. Our mix of cover songs is unique, fresh and familiar. We are dedicated to giving our live audience the very best performance possible, our shows are energetic, well paced and musically diverse.

We are-

Hap Harriman
Legendary guitar slinger Hap Harriman polished his remarkable playing skills over many years in the infamous Chicago music scene. He toured nationally and was part of Alice Peacock's band for a number of years. Hap is also a gifted producer, singer, songwriter, and studio cat. A life long fan of the Roaring Fork Valley, Hap has finally parked his tour bus in Basalt indefinitely.

Nelson Oldham
Nelson's musical influences come from all over. “My parents had a great record collection. Elvis, Kingston Trio, Mamas and Papas, Blood Sweat and Tears, and lot's of showtunes. I listened to that stuff all the time growing up.” Nelson emerged as a songwriter while performing in previous local bands, Midlife Crisis and the Redtones.

Chris Goplerud
Chris has been banging on things for as long as he can remember. Formal drum lessons started at the age of eight in Buffalo, New York. His first professional gigs began at fifteen in the bars and dance halls of Richmond, Virginia.  At the fork in the road between a classical percussion degree and a Colorado skiing/climbing life, he headed west and never looked back. Chris has played with everyone from Gary Rossington (Lynyrd Skynyrd) to saxophonist Harry Allen (Tony Bennett). "Free Bird" meets "I Left My Heart In San Francisco"! Chris has also performed with just about all the usual suspects in the Roaring Fork Valley over the past eighteen years.

Vidi
All the way from Liverpool, England, this bassman found his home base in Aspen. Holding down the bottom end with local jam band "Jes Grew", and jazz ensemble "Elememts", Vidi is now exploring alternatives in Americana with Milemarkers.
